The Supervisory Board provides an independent review of the certification activities of RAL, with particular regard to the controls for impartiality and independence. The Board meets 6-monthly, acting according to a defined terms of reference.

Key responsibilities:

• Independent specialist review of RAL certification processes with regard to independence / impartiality controls.
  
  
• Recommend improvement actions as necessary, based on outcome of independent specialist review, to ensure that the integrity of RAL's independence/impartiality is maintained.
