RAL continues to be actively involved in discussions with regulatory bodies, customers and other parties involved in certification both within Great Britain and the rest of the European Union.

RAL has gained much active experience in the transition from Engineering Acceptance against Railway Group Standards into the European Notified Body acceptance against TSI and EuroNorms and has managed the certification process of a variety of new locomotives, wagons and coach conversion projects under the new Railway (Interoperability) Regulations 2006.

The new acceptance processes can appear daunting, given the level of change. To help you through this transition, RAL can give appropriate guidance, based on this recent experience, regarding the application of the new Regulations in so far as rolling stock, both old and new, is concerned. In addition, the DfT issues its own guidance to the regulations.
