VAB
RAL is authorised by RSSB to act as a Vehicle Acceptance Body (VAB) and Conformance Certification Body (CCB) for all types of certificates
and all vehicle types (except steam)

Notified Body
RAL is Notified Body 1125 authorised to issue certificates against Directive 96/48 EC for High Speed Rail and Directive 2001/16 EC for Conventional Rail.

UIC Registration
RAL is authorised by EWSI to perform technical evaluation leading to acceptance of wagons against the RIV and UIC503. RAL is also authorised by RSSB to issue the required Engineering Acceptance certification.

RISAB (Supplier Approval)
The Rail Industry Supplier Approval Scheme (RISAS) has been established to provide both suppliers and users of railway industry products and services with a standardised method of supplier approval.

EN45011:1998 Product Conformity Certification
 RAL is accredited to carry out Product Conformity Certification to the following standards.

Independent Verification and other Certification Services
RAL can offer independent validation services to invest confidence in information or products supplied to a third party.
